SP1

For correct application of SP1, the substrate should be sound and completely free of any dust, grease, oil, and debris. Mix the product for 1 minute. This can be done by simply agitating the foil bag, or by pouring into the bucket. The product can then be poured directly onto the substrate and spread using a roller or brush, adhering to consumption ratios.

The product can be applied to damp substrates and is self-levelling. (Any excess or standing water should be wiped away before application). The correct consumption ratio is 3KG per square metre.

JUTA UK recommends using a reinforcement tape on any joints or seams, or substrate changes i.e. lips, steps, changes in direction etc.

Once opened, the liquid will be suitable for use for up to 2 weeks, if stored correctly in the tub with the lid on.

For large scale installations, SP1 has been fully tested to obtain W2 (minimum 10 Year life expectancy) without reinforcement. However, for large scale projects or installations where a longer life expectancy is required, a reinforcement can be used, and is recommended.

Limitations

Please ensure the correct consumption ratios are followed, failure to do so may result a system failure. If working at lower temperatures, we recommend applying thinner coats to facilitate the curing process. The product can be re-coated if necessary. For installations where there is standing water, we recommend removing the excess water to avoid the brush or roller sliding out.
